Just the mention of The Vaselines bring up thoughts of Nirvana. Kurt Cobain considered this group some of the greatest song writers in history and covered numerous songs of The Vaselines. Listening to this album it is easy to see how he was so influenced by their music. You can run a parallel with lyrics from The Vaselines and Nirvana. One of my favorite tracks on this album is “I Hate The 80’s”, give it a listen and I am sure you will agree that it is a great track.
