I was a bit leery reviewing a psychedelic record, but my feelings were unfounded. Rings starts off with “Himalaya” and goes right into “Gong The Divider”. I felt drawn into it and kept listening. It didn’t really go offtrack until I got to “Field Recordings India ‘o8” which is just what it says, field recordings on what sounds to be something like a walkman. It actually deters from the album and probably should have been the last song. The drumming is very prominent as are the vocals. There is additional “noise” mixed in but in reality it is not as prominent as the other aspects of the recordings. If you are into psychedelic rock then this vinyl is for you. If you are a casual listener you may be better off with a different album.
This vinyl has a limited pressing of 300 copies. Comes with digital download card.
