Over the years growing up in the surrounding suburbs of Minneapolis, MN, I’ve watched ‘Slug’ aka ‘Atmosphere’ hustle his way into the music industry. Arguable the most commercial successful artist thus far from his label, “Rhymesayers”, Slug’s work ethic is the opposite of that of a slacker. Rhymesayers label also include artists such as, Brotha Ali, and the recently deceased Michael “Eyedea” Larson. I am not a serious Atmosphere fan but also do not lack pride for his style that is somewhat unique to the region. This first song, ‘Until the Nipples Gone’ does a great job of introducing the album and its entire feel.
